Training and institutional development for the public bodies that design, regulate and oversee artificial intelligence.
The Lab designs and delivers capacity building for the public institutions that design, regulate and oversee artificial intelligence. Programmes are built on the comparative evidence of the Lab, adapted to the regulatory stage of each state, and delivered in Arabic, English or French.
Programmes
- Executive programme for senior officials. Institutional design, mandates and coordination for AI governance; reading indices and evidence; sequencing of reform.
- Regulator training. Risk classification, data protection in AI systems, algorithmic impact assessment, enforcement practice and sandboxes.
- Public procurement of AI. Requirements, evaluation and contract clauses, including performance in Arabic.
- Evidence and evaluation. Indicators, data for oversight, and evaluation of AI policies and programmes.
- Training of trainers. For civil service colleges, universities and national schools of administration.

Independence
Capacity building is kept separate from the open dataset. Coding decisions follow the public codebook and are not affected by training partnerships.
